Dear Goalball friends,
Every two years ViGe Noordzee organizes the Bruges Open International Goalball Tournement. The host city for this event is one of the most beautiful cities of Belgium: Bruges.
This 2-day event will take place on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th of May 2022 and is an ideal tournement for teams who participate at the World Championships.
Venues
The games will take place in two venues:
• the main sports hall of the
Sport Vlaanderen Brugge sports
center
• the Howest Sport Innovatie
Campus
There will also be a warming up area, situated on the first floor.
All venues are in the
Sport Vlaanderen Brugge sports center wich is located just outside the city centre of Bruges.
It’s the biggest sports venue of the city and accommodates a wide verity of sports.
Floors have a blue or pale grey synthetic surface.
Teams
This year a maximum of 10 male teams can join the tournament. Due to the upcomming World Championships, our preference goes to national teams.
A team can exist of maximum 8 people. More players and or staff are allowed. The maximum number of players
and staff on the bench during the tournament itself however can not exceed the IBSA regulations.
Referees
We offer referees free accommodation. All referees need to have an IBSA level 1 accreditation or higher. If you, as a referee, come with a team, the team gets a € 100 discount.
Transport from and to the airport is not included, but we can help you find the right transportation.
Accommodation
The hotel we picked for you is located just outside of the city centre.
Green Park Hotel Brugge is surrounded by trees and provides everything an athlete needs after
a long day.
There are two types of rooms available:
• Double rooms
• Triple rooms
*All the beds in the rooms of your choice will be charged.

Subscription is open ‘till the first of February 2022.

The entree fee is € 230 p.p. (triple room) and € 260 p.p. (double room) and has to be paid before the first of March 2022. When the type of room of your preference is no longer available, we will inform you before confirming your entree.
In general
Please make sure your international visa, COVID-pasport, … (if required) is up to date. We cannot assist you or your team in this matter.
